Word Mapping Project
A Better Way to Teach Words
Built on the Science of Reading, the Word Mapping Project curriculum brings together morphology, vocabulary, spelling, fluency, and sentence composition into one clear, consistent routine. In just 35 minutes a day, students build the kind of word knowledge that transfers across reading, writing, and content areas.
The Word Mapping Project curriculum is designed to strengthen literacy by explicitly connecting how words sound, how they are spelled, and what they mean. The curriculum integrates decoding (reading words), encoding (spelling words), and vocabulary development into one cohesive system. Students learn to analyze how prefixes, roots, and suffixes build meaning, how spelling patterns connect to sound, and how that knowledge drives comprehension.
Designed for Grades 3โ5 (and beyond), the Word Mapping Project gives teachers ready-to-use lessons so they can focus on teaching, not creating curriculum from scratch.
